Grants can be an intimidating venture especially when an essay and research are involved to help promote a student’s venture towards a higher education. While applying for a scholarship has a separate application along with individual documents that need to be attached to it… grants can offer large sums of funding that do not need to be paid back unless under some extraordinary circumstances.

The Federal Pell Grant

This option which is only awarded to undergraduate students focuses on a students collective either full time or part time attendance, the entire family income annual, tuition costs, and college fees. The Federal Pell grant is a government option that gives to students that come from low income families whose tuition costs exceed the option to pay out of pocket.

The maximum amount this grant offers is $6,895 in total. Although any student that was to send in the application will not need to put down their grade point average, as his detail is not needed.

Advanced Nursing Education Workforce

The Advanced Nursing Education Workforce is specifically for students that are already pursuing a degree in nursing. There are specific expectations when a student is chosen to receive this grant and one point involves the student who will end up planning to work within a rural or disadvantage community.

This grant is also a government based funding option. When it comes to eligibility and requirements the students interested in the Advanced Nursing Education Workforce will need to either be attending an accredited school of nursing, work at a nursing center, applied to academic health centers, plans on working in state or local governments, or the individual is part of a public or private healthcare facility.

This grant does have more strict availability solely based on the amount of funding that each individual needs to complete their nursing program.

Alexia Foundation Student Grant

Whether is photography, mixed media, or related fields, this grant focuses on liberal art and media students to receive a total of $1,500 for a one-time option. All applicants will need to be full-time students that are attending a highly accredited higher education college. Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply.

This grant does mention a portfolio of the student’s work will need to be presented.

Jose Marti Scholarship Challenge Grant

Lucky students that apply for the Jose Marti Scholarship Challenge Grant will receive an annual reoccurring payment cycle of $2,000. Applicants will need to be of Hispanic origin, that either have parents born in Mexico ,Caribbean, Central, or South America or they themselves where born in one of the listed country’s. There is an average grade point average of 3.0 that is requested upon submitting the grant application.

NCAA Graduate Student Research Grant

This $7,500 funding grant is guaranteed to students that fit the eligible criteria of master’s and Ph.D. students that are attending top of line and cutting edge research institutions. There is a higher priority category where students that are studying social or behavioral sciences will be deemed the ultimate fit for this education grant.
